Black lawyers chart There are thousands of lawyers in this country, but only approximately 3% of us are African American. Of that small number, most are women and very few are owners of their own law firms. However, a good number of us are African-American men who are providing quality legal representation for African-Americans, Hispanics, Caucasions and others across the country.
